The Institute of Ergonomics consists of three research groups: "Human-Machine Interaction and Mobility", " Human and Organization" and "Work Evaluation and Workplace Design". In addition, the IAD is concerned with the research areas "Demography" and " Digitalisation and Networking". Information about the research groups and research topics, as well as about the "Year of Science" and wanted test persons can be found on this page and the linked pages.
At the IAD numerous survey methods are used, which cover the areas of requirements analysis and structuring, prototyping and evaluation. Various measurement systems and devices as well as laboratories and test environments are available for this purpose.
The IAD was involved with various projects in the Science Year 2018 – Working Life of the Future.
The Institute for Occupational Science (IAD) conducts regular test subjects at the Technical University of Darmstadt. These are very varied – from driving tests on the test site (the August-Euler airfield) to the evaluation of the usability of various products.
We are always looking for interested test subjects for these tests.
