Citizens had the opportunity to discuss the topic of automated driving with IAD staff and to decide between different means of transport for journeys within the city of Darmstadt as part of a stated choice experiment – here, too, the focus was on the topic of automated driving.

The panel discussion on questions relating to automated driving offered interested citizens further opportunities for information and dialogue. Julia Nestlen moderated the exciting questions from the in-person and online participants. Prof. Steven Peters (Department of Automotive Engineering, TU Darmstadt), Dr. Bettina Abendroth (Institute of Ergonomics and Human Factors, TU Darmstadt), Prof. Klaus-Michael Ahrend (Vorstand HEAG Holding), Klaus Görgen (Vorstand ADFC Darmstadt-Dieburg) and Dr. Claudio Longo (Head of Research & Advanced Enginieering, Continental AG) took part in the panel discussion.
