2024/09/20

The IAD is presenting three contributions at IEA 2024 under the motto “Better Life Ergonomics for Future Humans”.

The IAD took part in the 22nd Congress of the International Ergonomics Association (IEA 2024) on the South Korean island of Jeju from August 25 to 29, 2024. The Korean Ergonomics Society organized the 2024 congress, which takes place every three years, under the theme “Better Life Ergonomics for Future Humans”. Nina Theobald, Sarah Schwindt-Drews und Maximilian Pätzold presented and discussed three scientific contributions under this theme:

  • Emotional Eyes for Automated Vehicles: Investigating Design Dimensions and Pedestrian Acceptance(Nina Theobald, Felix Friedrich, Philip Joisten & Bettina Abendroth)
  • Simulation of the effects of an adaptive height adjustment algorithm for large planar work objects at manual assembly stations (Maximilian Pätzold & Josefine Emmel)
  • Competencies and Technological Support for Remote Operator of Automated Vehicles: A Literature Review and Perspectives (Sarah Schwindt-Drews, Jan-Philipp Frenzel, Ole Hans, Bettina Abendroth & Jürgen Adamy)

The written contributions will be published in the Springer Series in Design and Innovation in December 2024.
