Video Analysis

Below you will find all important information about the selected method. For further information, please contact the responsible person via the contact button on the right.

Video analysis is a complex method, which is usually carried out in a usability lab with several cameras. At the IAD this method is additionally applied at the driving simulator, which is equipped with a multitude of cameras. The recorded videos serve to document actions as well as the duration of actions. Furthermore, they can be used to evaluate the facial expressions and gestures of study participants, which allow conclusions about their mood (e.g. joy or frustration). In addition, the videos can also be watched afterwards together with the study participants (so-called “video feedback”). In this case, certain situations can be discussed and the test persons can be asked why they acted in the respective cases or what they thought and felt in the situation.
