Introduction
The scientifically based simulation software ema enables the holistic planning, evaluation and 3D simulation of human work. Here it is possible to carry out a digital ergonomic evaluation as well as MTM analysis. The method is especially used in teaching to show students the possibilities of modern process planning.
Technology
With a stored digital human model and an object and performance database, workstations and production processes can be depicted in detail. With the help of the ergonomics assessment (EAWS) of the simulation, physical stress factors (posture, forces, loads) can be taken into account already in the planning phase and work processes can be adapted or optimized accordingly.
Application
Application fields of the ema tool are, besides the integration into the teaching content of lectures and exercises, the target-oriented planning and evaluation of industrial workplaces and activities. Conceivable are assembly or manufacturing processes as well as activities in human-robot collaboration.
