The aim of the research group is to design work tasks and workplaces in a way that is appropriate to the individual's abilities. In addition to the design and evaluation of preventive measures to maintain work ability and health promotion, the research group is also concerned with work design for the engagement of employees with altered performance.

Here, the focus is on determining ability data and comparing it with job requirements. The working group uses methods of micro- and macro-modelling in order to include a capability-oriented design in the planning of work tasks and workplaces.
